Nig Nog Swedish Cookies

Ramadhan is here again.. dalam sibuk sibuk merancang nak bertarawih dengan member member, sibuk jugak past year punya customer suruh buat cookies tuk raya. Almost 2 weeks before ramadhan aku dah kelam kabut buat sample. My existing customer dah tak perlukan sample sample tu semua, tapi dia org suh aku buat tuk a new market. Funny thing is, dia org pulak yang nak marketkan cookies tu, sepatutnya aku la yang kena buat sendiri kan? Since aku dah buat, so aku pun buat la jugak lebih sample sample tu untuk di bagi bagikan pada kawan kawan and juga my blogger friends from ekawan dulu.

From where it got it's name aku tak tau la, tapi it's always jadi bahan persenda kawan kawan aku. they re-name the cookies to some dirty names mcm.... errr.. tak elok la nak cakap kan? Then my customer in JB called this as kuih tetek! I guess because of the deco kat atas kuih tu kan? Biasala, orang orang Malaysia ni, kalau otak ak kotor tak sah!

This kuih aku jual satu balang (more or less 50 -55 pieces) for RM 35.00. The usual question for my new customer ialah.. kenapa mahal? Susah aku nak jawab. It's not mahal because harga barang naik (sebab this price is maintained since 2008, tak pernah berubah). Just so you all tau, this cookies are made from Walnut, Japanese Sunflower Seeds, Nestum, White Chocolate Chips, Crisco (Non-saturated fat shortening) dan bahan bahan asas yang lain. So I guess, that explains the price kan?
Cookies ni sangat rangup dan rasanya lemak masin and manis... nak tau rasala dulu, and kalau nak sample bagi tau yer?

Kalau siapa siapa nak order, my phone no ada kat my profile tu... sms lagi senang.. kalau call kadang kadang kalau tengah bz I tak dengar. Anyway, for those yang tak pernah tengok rupa cookies ni, here are the photos; taken fresh from the oven!

Apam Harum Manis

The first time aku buat apam ni, bila aku dah tua... yes, tua as in 35 years old.. jadi about a year ago. I got the recipe online and put it to the test only to find out that when it’s fresh from the steamer, I can’t help but savouring the sweet taste and fluffiness of this apam till I almost ate it all.

Though it was called Apam HarumManis because of the aroma and it’s sweet taste, I’d normally call it Apam Mercedez because of the pisang on top yang ada tiga bintang.
Here’s the photo taken when I prepare it for majlis kenduri at Cik Yus in Setapak.
